The Balkans boast a rich culinary tradition with a diverse range of traditional dishes. Some of the most popular and iconic traditional foods from the Balkans include:

It is typically used as a spread or side dish and can range in flavor from sweet to piquant to very hot. VRANAC GRAPES & WINE
Vranac is an ancient grape variety native to Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. Vranac is considered the most important grape variety in Montenegro. The grape produces a dense, dark red wine with notes of vanilla, blackberry pie and creme de cassis. Vranac is grown in Cemovsko Field, the largest single piece of vineyard in Europe. This vineyard is located in the Podgorica wine region, at the southern end of Lake Skadar. Here, the sunny climate provides ideal conditions for growing excellent and juicy grape crops. Cemovsko Field belongs to the Montenegrin company 13.Jul Plantaže, which was founded in 1963. This vineyard aims to combine its rich heritage in wine production with the contemporary needs of its customers and produces a range of wines and grape brandies to suit every taste. The vineyard produces one of the widest selections of wines sourced from Montenegro, including an award-winning fresh and floral white crnogorski sauvignon and three different types of vranac. Guests can visit the vineyard for a tour of its vast land and have a chance to taste a few bottles from a large wine cellar
